C. C. Williams's Newly Released “Moving On” is a Touching Novel About Two Fractured Families Meeting at a Crossroads and Finding Hope and Healing in Each Ether
MEADVILLE, Pa., Oct. 9, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — “Moving On”: a poignant novel about hope and healing. “Moving On” is the creation of published author C. C. Williams, a devoted mother and grandmother from Charlotte, North Carolina, who in her time has been an artist, certified laughter therapist, notary public, Christian comedian, actress, and Toastmaster speaker.
Williams writes, “Ramona Kay Jackston Farley, thirty-nine years old, was one of the chief administrator assistants until they laid her and many more off at the plant where she had worked the last ten years. She was a celebrated photographer. She had won numerous awards for several of her prints. She had one hanging in the town museum and several throughout the plant. She had even sold a few.
Her husband, Stephen Farley, was killed in a freak accident at the plant two years past. With the insurance monies and the generous payout she received from the company her severance pay, she and the girls were well taken care of for quite a while. For whatever reason, their relationship was not the best the last several months prior to his demise. There were rumors that he was seeing one of the other secretaries in the pool. She was set to investigate it; but afterward, she did not feel the need to pursue it any further. She had also started counseling with the pastor of the church she and the girls
had started to attend. He was not the affectionate type. He was quite quiet, reserved, and private. Even with Ramona. This was the core of their problems.”
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, C. C. Williams’s new book is a sprawling, nuanced portrait of two different, small families whose jagged edges fit together as they find the strength to carry on with their lives.
As Ramona and Earle and their families meet a host of other characters who help and challenge them, they hang on to their faith in God for strength on their journey moving forward.
