Readers slammed Universal Credit after the ECHO revealed how an ‘admin error’ left a man eating from bins and stealing to survive.
Ryan Webb, 32, described how he was left with £26 a month after he was sanctioned for being late to a meeting, despite a text notification with the details arriving a MONTH late.
Ryan, who lives in a bedsit in Tuebrook, applied to the Department of Work and Pensions for what are known as hardship payments – but was denied these as well.
