A woman who dumped a bag full of puppies in a wheelie bin has been arrested – with police finding 30 more dogs at her home.

Shocking video saw her stepping out of a white 4×4 and callously putting a plastic bag full of newborn puppies in a dumpster in 30 degree heat in Coachella, California last Thursday.

The Riverside County Animal Services has now caught up with her after a social media backlash.

And if convicted on all counts, she could face seven felony counts of animal cruelty and jailed for a maximum of six years.

The puppies were luckily saved by a good Samaritan who heard cries from the dumpster and fished out the puppies.

The seven pups are believed to be three days old

Seven terrier mixes puppies were found in the bag. It’s estimated that they were only three days old.

The man, identified as John, then left the puppies to the front of an auto parts store and walked away.

One customer looked into the bag and alerted the staff immediately.

The Riverside County Animal Services said: “If not for the Good Samaritan’s actions, the puppies may not have survived much longer.

“The mid-day temperatures in Coachella on Thursday were in the mid-90s range.”

Commander Chris Mayer said a case is being built against the woman, CNN reports.

There were seven three-day-old puppies found in the bag under the hot weather

He said: “There is no excuse for dumping puppies.

“Especially in today’s age when we or other shelters would be willing to get these animals to foster parents or rescue partners. This was a shameful act.”

The puppies were barely breathing and sent to an Orange County shelter where they later recovered.
