Bitcoin Climbs Above 12,062.8 Level, Up 0.25%

Investing.com – Bitcoin rose above the $12,062.8 threshold on Friday. Bitcoin was trading at 12,062.8 by 18:55 (22:55 GMT) on the Investing.com Index, up 0.25% on the day. It was the largest one-day percentage gain since August 8.

The move upwards pushed Bitcoin’s market cap up to $212.0B, or 69.48% of the total cryptocurrency market cap. At its highest, Bitcoin’s market cap was $241.2B.

Over the past seven days, Bitcoin has seen a rise in value, as it gained 12.42%. The volume of Bitcoin traded in the twenty-four hours to time of writing was $19.0B or 32.47% of the total volume of all cryptocurrencies. It has traded in a range of $10,504.5156 to $12,291.9395 in the past 7 days.

At its current price, Bitcoin is still down 39.29% from its all-time high of $19,870.62 set on December 17, 2017.

Ethereum was last at $208.74 on the Investing.com Index, down 4.79% on the day.

XRP was trading at $0.29529 on the Investing.com Index, a loss of 3.98%.

Ethereum’s market cap was last at $22.5B or 7.39% of the total cryptocurrency market cap, while XRP’s market cap totaled $12.7B or 4.18% of the total cryptocurrency market value.
