Products of HAFED to be sold on e-commerce sites

The products of Haryana State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Limited (HAFED) will soon be available for sale through the e-commerce website.

Haryana Cooperation Minister Banwari Lal on Wednesday said that people will be able to buy HAFED products on e-commerce websites. Apart from this, flagship stores’ in NCR and Tricity, in which a variety of products will be sold.

He said that these stores would be opened under the competitive concept so that consumers would have experience of buying products in a different environment.

Apart from this, by March 2020, HAFED will also supply fortified flour under PDS, ICDS and MDM schemes across the State. He said that at present, fortified flour is being supplied in five districts including Ambala, Karnal, Yamunanagar, Rohtak, and Mewat. The Minister said that HAFED will prepare an online dashboard so that details of daily sales and achievements can be available on that dashboard. “HAFED will also set up an export cell to increase the sales of products and a research cell to enhance product quality and to provide the best and quality products to the consumers in today’s competitive era,” he said.

The Haryana Cooperation Minister said various promotional drives have been carried out by Hafed to promote its products on social media and work is also being done to make the Hafed logo and the packaging of the products more attractive.
