Tron Retakes 2nd Place From Ethereum in China’s Blockchain Ranking, EOS And Bitcoin Unmoved

• The 16th largest cryptocurrency Tron (TRX) has reclaimed its 2nd place in China’s “Global Public Blockchain Technology Assessment Index” number 16.
• In the previous report, Tron fell a spot down to 3rd place and the 2nd place was taken by Ethereum (ETH). Now, the places have changed back to what they had the time before last.
• While Ethereum scores more than Tron in creativity and applicability, Tron beats Ethereum in basic technology, in China’s CCID blockchain tech ranking.

China Electronic Information Industry Development (CCID) is a research institute that works directly under China’s Ministry of Industry & Information, which provides consulting services for the government.

Steemit meanwhile is at 5th spot, a platform which has been acquired by Tron founder Justin Sun and went into a strategic partnership with Tron Foundation just last week. Steemit will be soon migrating to Tron Network as well.

While second and third place crypto projects kept on shuffling between Tron and Ethereum, EOS remains the king of the CCID’s ranking. EOS also has the highest score in the basic tech.

Interestingly, all three of the top crypto projects have smart contract functionality and are competing in the decentralized application (Dapp) space.

This time, Bitcoin kept its 11th place. The world’s leading cryptocurrency by a market cap of $176 billion has the highest score in the creativity category.

Stellar Lumens (XLM) and Ripple (XRP) are at 12th and 13th places respectively. While Lumens score better in basic tech and applicability, XRP takes over XLM in creativity.
