E-commerce platform for fish farmers in Thailand.

Thailand’s Fisheries Department is facilitating a pre-order system for customers to buy fresh seafood directly from farmers registered on its e-commerce platform.Only farms that are approved by the department will be permitted to sell their products online. So far there are ten participating farmers for both fresh and processed seafood. This is to help them cope with excess supply due to Covid-19 crisis. The department also encourages farmers to sell their seafood using platforms such as Facebook and on-line shopping applications. The department expects 70-80 more farmers to register and get approved within 1 month.
