Bitcoin is currently the most popular investment option, not just among cryptocurrency and tech enthusiasts, but also among celebrities. Over the past few months, multiple global celebrities have endorsed Bitcoin, and the latest to publicly talk Bitcoin is Game Thrones actress Maisie Williams, popularly known for playing Arya Stark, a protagonist of the blockbuster TV series Game of Thrones.

The British actress shocked the crypto community after she posted a poll, asking her 2.7 million fans whether she should “go long on Bitcoin”. At the time of writing the poll has over more than 700,000 votes with 46.6% of the respondents voting yes, while 53.4 % of the respondents have voted no.

Initially, the Crypto enthusiasts had been leading the poll but the critics seem to have more numbers in this case. However, the response to her tweet was massive with renowned names like Elon Musk responding in favor of Bitcoin.

Musk tweeted “Toss a Bitcoin to ur witcher” referencing the popular book, video game, and Netflix Series The Witcher. The response pulled in thousands of Musk’s fanbase to Williams’ original poll, trying to convince the actress to buy Bitcoin.

Musk wasn’t the only one to voice in favor of Bitcoin. Crypto price tracking platform Blockfolio added that Williams should “[join] the free folk, long bitcoin,” since Bitcoin is designed to be as ‘free’ from governmental interference as technologically possible.

Barry Silbert, Bitcoin advocate, and CEO of Digital Currency Group, the parent to Luno, Grayscale, Coindesk, Genesis Trading and Foundry cited  Grayscale Investment’s success as a positive opportunity as opposed to the dreaded disease known in Game of Thrones.

On the other hand, Peter McCormack advised to ignore any other cryptocurrencies and only invest in the leading token. He said:

“Lesson 1 – Bitcoin and nothing else.”
