Thailand ranked first with 15 medals, including 8 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze, while our team came second with 12 medals, including 5 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze.. Morocco came third with 13 medals, including 5 gold, 2 silver and 6 bronze. ..
The coronation of the youth team comes 5 years after the founding of the federation, which topped the Arab, Asian and international federations with its achievement, making it the best ambassador for the Arab Muay Thai, which witnessed the participation of 13 Arab countries. The technical, organizational and public success of the championship came as a new testimony to the UAE sport, and to reaffirm that Abu Dhabi is the capital of combat games.
The final day’s final competitions witnessed the Moroccan Youssef Asawik winning the gold in the under-71 kg to add the fifth medal for his country, by defeating Hungarian Zoltan in the final. Under 67 at the expense of Kazakh Anipec, and the American Arwen won the gold in the under-76 weight over Jasab of the Kazakh Igeni, and the Polish Rajos won the gold in the 91 kg weight category by defeating Moroccan Othman Fakkaki.
