What happened? The founder of the Cardano network, Charles Hoskinson, called the estimated timing of the Hard Fork Combinator (HFC) hard fork. According to Hoskinson, it will take place in September if the testing is successful and no errors delay the update. He noted that the developers and the community are “actively testing” the node 1.35.3, there were no problems with integration and infrastructure. Also, there are no serious bugs, except for minor bugs in the backlog.

How are the preparations going? Input Output Hong Kong (IOHK), the company that developed the network, will work with the Cardano community to determine the date of the hard fork. The team will meet with staking pool operators (SPOs) to get an update on their preparations.
Exchanges have been asked to upgrade to version 1.35.3 to ensure liquidity. After the 5 largest crypto exchanges in terms of trading volume finish the update, and the leading decentralized applications (dApps) report successful tests on node 1.35.3, IOHK will announce the date of the hard fork.
On August 27, 13:00 Moscow time, the ADA token is traded at $ 0.43, having lost 7.52% per day, according to Binance.
What is known about the update? It will increase the scalability of the blockchain, speed up the creation of blocks, optimize the verifiable random function (VRF) of Ouroboros and increase the network bandwidth, which will increase its performance. Also, the update will ensure compatibility between Cardano sidechains, which is one of the main functions that the team intends to launch in the current phase of blockchain development.
In early August, Hoskinson explained the reasons for the delay in the release of the hard fork. He assured that the update is currently in the final stages of testing and will no longer be postponed. Hoskinson noted that the team’s main priority is bug fixes to ensure security.
